Three steps to ready

Set up in 3 steps

① Settings → Your AI (OpenRouter one-click or a key) · ② Settings → “Let the microphone in now” · ③ Classes → + New class. Then press ● Record when class starts.

The 1-minute tour

The first time you open Tentaku, a six-step tour walks you through the same thing. Replay it anytime from ? → “▶ Replay the 1-minute tour”.

  1. Hi, I'm Tentaku — One button in class, and you walk out with notes, flashcards and a study plan. Audio never leaves this laptop. This takes one minute — skip anytime.
  2. 1 · Plug in your AI — once — Settings → Your AI. Easiest: pick OpenRouter and sign in — one account, every model, no key to copy. Or paste an API key. It's pay-as-you-go, billed by your AI provider — usually cents per lecture (an estimate).
  3. 2 · Make a class, drop its files — Classes → + New class. Then drag the syllabus, homework and slides onto the class page — they sort themselves by what's inside. Want downloads filed for you too? Home asks once — Tentaku never watches your Downloads folder until you say yes.
  4. 3 · In class: press ● Record — Top right — the first time in each class you confirm you're allowed to record it. ⭐ flags a moment worth remembering, 🙋 catches you up if you zoned out, ⏸ for breaks. Press ■ Stop and your notes are on screen before you've packed up.
  5. 4 · Study tab = the point — ⚡ flashcards from your notes, 🧪 practice tests in your professor's style, 🗺 a map of the course colored by how strong YOU are, 🧭 a weekly plan. Click 🎬 on any answer to see it drawn.
  6. That's it — Free covers one class with every feature. The ? button up top has fixes for anything confusing. Go record something.
